Program
The National RAP Conference 2024 program will focus on taking strong action to address barriers to advancing reconciliation, and on creating sustainable change.
Now More Than Ever is the theme of the conference, which will include plenaries and breakout sessions with an array of engaging guest speakers.
Sessions are built to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance reconciliation in your sphere of influence.
Main themes: Day One
The urgent work of reconciliation
The work of reconciliation needs a commitment to listen to, and act on, the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As we heard during National Reconciliation Week 2024, Now More Than Ever, reconciliation supporters must stand up to defend and uphold the rights of First Nations people.
Truth-telling
Truth-telling enables a fuller and more accurate account of Australia’s history to recognise the strength and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It acknowledges the historical silencing of injustices and ongoing impacts of colonisation on First Nations people. Truth-telling is fundamental to advancing reconciliation.
